Spicy Cheese Dip for Crockpots

I guess technically this is an appetizer, but we've always eaten it as a meal!  The very last sentence reveals that my dad never considered it a meal, so my mom started serving him his on bread.
Credit for making this a "Labor Day Weekend meal at the Fair" goes to my mom, Gail.  She found this recipe in the booklet that used to come with your Crockpot when they were a new kitchen gadget.  I guess we probably ate this for many years at home before we started bringing it along to the fair, but it travels well & is great for when evenings are starting to get a little cool.
I usually triple the recipe to make sure I can feed the family.  Enjoy!

1# ground beef                                                                                                2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

½ tsp chili powder                                                                                           1# Velveeta, cut in chunks

1 8 oz can green chilies & tomatoes

Brown the beef, then place all of the ingredients in crockpot. Mix well, cover, & cook on high for one hour, or until cheese is melted. Stir frequently to keep the edges from burning! You can serve immediately or leave it for several hours on low until you’re ready to serve. Scoop into bowls & serve with your favorite dipping chips, or make it an open-faced sandwich on bread.
